OK ...don't know about the rest of ya but i getting bored playing the same 42 maps. {B*B} are planning on putting the offical map pack into their CONQUEST server rotation. You will ofcourse need to download and install the map pack ...and you can get it from HERE

Some more info:

everyone should download and install this map pack. it can be found at many locations on the bf sites. We will start to play these soon and if you dont have it you wont be able to join in. OK Neomort, the answer to your question is that the maps are on our conquest server and no they are not placed on active yet. There are not, to my knowledge any immediate plans to implement them as of yet. But I will tell you that on our Thursday night fights we are going to start using them likely one per fight night. Non BB may attend as guests to these but you should speak to me or another BB to be included in it. Any ES can come. We also have some games we play too like racing and such. This Thursday I will try to do the Remagen map if everyone gets on the ball and has the map installed. Thursdays at 8pm gmt you need to be here on ts or someplace in the BB servers. When we start up it is passworded.

I would flayer (if I could) ...but 1. We get no traffic and 2. Our server gets monster lag still 3. Don't you need to be a linux man to manager server ...I a couple of week sof works by the looks of it ...so I will now finally have time to install linux ...fingers X

We still have monster lag on that server? Odd. Firebird, you ought to take a look. Suggest killing all games but BF1942.

What concerns me is what we'll do once BF2 hits. I can throw it on the BLUEFLAG host, but there's the financial issue there.

Yup. The mail server (and spamassassin), and BF1942, CS:S, and teamspeak.

just in case you wanna hear my point of view, i think no-one really cares about the 42 server, so that it can be removed. we have 2 CS servers don't we? i think one should be kept, we're quite a bunch of people who like CS:S and who like playing on our own server. if CS causes lag problem or if running both(CS and BF2) leads into financial problem it should be removed as well. i think BF2 is gonna be the hammer! so i would do everything to have the opportunity to run a bf2 server.

how do you english-speaking say...something like "this was my 2 cents" or something

Be as well removing 42, and if only one of out CS servers is enough then one of them too ...we really need to nail a good client base for our BF2 server to be successfull ...otherwise it just gonna end up like 42 and V

Anyone else want to chip in with their 2 cents worth??
