Question

I need a little guidance....

I love CS:S, but I notice that some of ya'll are again (or have been all along) playing BF2, COH, etc. I'd like to get in on other FP tactical games as well. My question is, would it be worthwhile to buy BF2 or some other, older, game or wait for something new? I don't have a clue what's coming down the pipe, so if ya'll could give me an idea, that'd be nice.

BF2 is worth it if you can get it very cheap, COH is a brilliant game so I can only recommend this one.

CoH is in Wal-Mart around here for $19 US or so, is it worth it?

$19 seems opretty good to me. that muist e a 3rd of the original cost? I still play at least 5 games a day of CoH. I am addicted. I am currently top 70 in the 2v2 ranked ladder on allied. Sadly most of my losses come from connection bugs in the 2v2 game.

BF2 if you find a good server, is a very good game, if its a bad server, its teh suck, just like any other game, but in general, discounting the odd lamer you may come across, BF2 is fun.

It looks like great fun, however, I don't want to spend the 40 bucks if there is gonna be a new game coming out soon that will leave the servers empty.

$19 is a steal for CoH.  It is company of heroes right, you may be thinking call of duty.  I've never seen it at that price.   Walmart usually don't really low prices on video games.  But I would get it anyway.  As everyone else has said, its awesome.

Company of heroes is a good RTS. BF2 is an amazing shooter. Sure its a bit patchy, but you can get the core game and all expansions in a collectors edition for the price of the original game when it came out. Considering Unreal or any good shooters aren't schedules to come out for a little while longer, BF2 is your best bet for a non CSS shooter.

You all need to try the hidden. If you have CSS (namely HL2:DM), then its FREE. And its awesome to boot. someone for god sakes try it.

There's a minimum of at least another year left in BF probably two, EA have too much invested in it to dump after less than two years.

OK... I took another look at Wal-Mart prices online.. BF2 complete edition is $39.82.

However, it's showing CoH @ $45.00. I don't know if my local store mis-marked the box or I made a mistake. I'm gonna ride by there this afternoon and if it's still the price I think it is I'm gonna snag it.
