Built from the ground-up for next-generation consoles using Digital Illusions bleeding-edge Frostbite game engine, Battlefield: Bad Company drops gamers behind enemy lines with a squad of renegade soldiers who risk it all on a personal quest for gold and revenge. Featuring a deep, cinematic single-player experience loaded with adventure and dark humor, the game delivers the series trademark sandbox gameplay in a universe where nearly everything is destructible.
The heart of DICE's multiplayer games is the frenetic, unpredictable nature of the sandbox experience, where anything could happen at any moment, and that's what we're bringing to the core of Battlefield: Bad Company's single-player campaign, said Karl Magnus Troedsson, senior producer at DICE. In a world that's 90 percent destructible, the gameplay possibilities are infinite - the battlefield is always changing, forcing players, teammates, and enemies to react accordingly. Gamers will have total freedom to adapt to and tackle challenges in creative Battlefield-style ways.

Weapons
Available weapons are currently unknown, but they will likely contain modern favorites as well as some new concepts based on future weaponry, such as the XM8 rifle with an M320 40mm grenade launcher that is shown in a few of the screenshots as well as the HK 416 in other screenshots.[1] Also in the magazine "PLAYSTATION", it has a screenshot of the player holding a Swedish AT4 rocket launcher (not to be confused with the Russian AT-4 Spigot anti-tank guided missile launcher) and the FN SCAR rifle

Vehicles

Helicopters: Mi-24 Hind, Ka-50 Hokum, AH-64 Apache, UH-60 Black Hawk.
Vehicles: T-90, BMP-3, GAZ-3937 Vodnik, M1A2 Abrams, M2 Bradley, Humvee.

Release Date for ps3/xbox 360

28th of March, 2008
 :)

This definitely looks kick ass.

Tech dudes, what kind of graphics hardware would you anticipate is necessary for this game?

EDIT-->  I just realized something. The acronym for this will be BF:BC. With the pattern of time-themed titles, this is a little misleading, no? :P

Video showing off fully destructible environment
Just like they promised BF2 would be fully destructible.....but then said it wasn't possible.

But oh wait....Fully destructible MP gaming has been possible and been done for years before BF2 came along.........red faction anyone.
I won't touch another Dice product after what they did with BF, especially the way they treated their customers.

We all know it was balls, but I liked that video...I'm definitely not gonna pre-order or anything though. I'm waiting on reviews from any of you who dare to buy it

I'm with Geordie on this one.  No more DICE for me.  I quit believing what they say a long time ago.  Plus, its almost guaranteed to be unplayable until the first patch.  And there will be obvious things that should be included missing due to rushing it into production.  Look for it to be half way decent after the 4th or 5th patch 6+ months after release.

Im sure Shuck is on the preorder list........ :P

Yeah CB I cant believe your sucked in again by the mind drugs they offer you. 2142 was the first time ever I managed to say NO and it felt good. To finally vote with my pocket and stand by it. I may get it whens its got some positive community press, been out for 3-4 months and the EA tax has been halved. Even then it will take a huge amount of effort on their part for me to come back.
